Portrait Photography Workshop - March 2012
This is a 1 day workshop. While photographers with no prior knowledge about photography can join this workshop, participants with some photography knowledge will benefit.
The workshop deals with pointers in shooting portraits and directing a model. It also offers some hands on experience with studio lighting equipment. Some of the shooting and lighting techniques can be applied using available light or a home constructed lighting studio.
Equipment needed :
DSLR with memory card(s). (Sony DLSR users contact me in advance before signing up)
Laptop with an image editing or viewing programme installed (eg – Photoshop or Lightroom, iPhoto, Windows media). A spare laptop is available if you do not have one.
This comprehensive workshop is conducted by using studio lighting equipment. However, the emphasis is on getting good portrait shots. A compact or bridge is not suitable for this workshop. Among the topics covered are :
An overview about lighting.
The fee is €160 for the workshop + €15 for the model and make-up artist. Included is sandwich lunch and refreshments.
