My World – A photography Exhibition

As temporary visitors  on this planet, not a day goes by when the self part of our existence is indulged in a visual or sensory perception of the world we live in.  At times, our sensory perception of the world can be so intense  that we may be inclined to project it as real.

In the photography exhibition "MY WORLD", the photographers were encouraged to explore the theme through the subversive power of the images.  Not literally interpreting it but to discover potential ways of interpretation through reality or perhaps even distorting it.

Come join us on the opening night as the 6 expat photographers share their different views of what they see as "My World".

Opening Night : Friday 18th November 2011
Time :  6.30pm - 9.30pm
Duration of exhibition : 18th November to 10th December 2011
Opening hours : Tuesday to Friday, Noon to 5pm.
Artists' presence : Tuesdays and Thursdays 5pm-7pm.

We will have a lucky draw (dinner for 2 at Silken Hotel) and a few bottles of wine during the evening of the opening night.

We highly recommend that you take a moment and print the directions to get to ARTEFAC

- Nearest Metro station "Alma" less than 2 minutes walk to Art Centre.  Signs will be posted. This is the best way to get there.
- Driving.  It is strongly suggested that you park your car at Roodebeek Station and take the metro to Alma station (2 stops away)
- If you are one of those who MUST really must drive to the destination (not recommended)... try parking on Almaplein (good luck!) or Paid Parking at Ideal Parking (20 mins walking in the cold and finding your way ….).  “Rue” Martin V is not a real street that you can drive on and your GPS won’t bring you there.
