Laetitia is a French neuroscientist who specializes in social emotions and behaviors. She grew up with a camera always next to her. She began her photographic journey two years ago after deciding to abandon the compact camera in favor of an SLR camera. When Laetitia works with photography, her senses are atuned to the world that surrounds her. Her photographs are impromptu shots of an introvertive imagined world. She invites the viewer into a space of speculation when confronted with her photographs. An exploration of angles, space and light. With her images she attempts to make some visual sense of the forms while hiding the real meaning behind.
A world of emerging silhouettes: What is this ? Who are they? Is it really so important? Because a picture might be a quest for the essence of imagination, an expression of a language with many shades and interpretations. A different sensory experience leads to various emotions. For these pictures, Laetitia chose to paint the light surrounding with a definite shape. Leaving or tracing an edge in her world and to leave a place for imagination… by detaching it from reality.
