I guess I can half-jokingly say that my interest for photography is genetic; after all, many members of my close family share the same interest. But the decisive inspiration came from the significant, powerful photos taken by reporters all over the world. Their mixture of courage, artistic sense and technical prowess always amazes me.

This exhibition is for me an opportunity to experiment and throw the results "out there", trying to make my voice heard while at the same time always listening in order to improve. I believe it's important to challenge yourself out of the comfort zone.

"My world" is transitory. In my photographs I try to represent the permanence of our surroundings against the flow of time that makes us all temporary, a blur in the long history of our world. That, by the way, is a positive - for we move, we shake, we flow in order to feel alive. I am here on my world, but I am also there, there and there. Never quiet, never still.
