I am a Professional Day dreamer. Sometimes I work as a photographer in Brussels, Belgium.
The usual question always pops up – “What kind of photography do you do?”. Hard question to answer. But in a nutshell, I kind of cover these types :

Photography is my passion and I enjoy sharing my passion with others. This is done through the photography workshops I organise since 2002 in Brussels. Back then, the workshops were conducted using analogue film cameras. Preparing the chemicals till my fingers would reek of them. Developing negatives and making prints in the darkroom. Nowadays, the workshops are geared towards digital photography. Looking back, more than 500 photographers have participated in the workshops and discovered the joy of photography!
For me, photography is not about equipment nor about picking up a camera and firing it away till a good or lucky shot comes along among the thousands. It is more than that. A thought process where you combine creativity with camera knowledge. Creating a feeling or emotion on a 2 dimensional piece of lifeless photographic paper that can self-express itself. Not with words nor pictures. After all, a picture is just a moment frozen in time.
A photography image stands out when it has got the ‘umpf’ feeling when you look at it. Timeless and fashionless. It has got to be dynamic and captures the essence of the person or subject that I am shooting.
